๐Ÿ“‹ ๐Ÿ“‹ One-Click Prompt

@OpenClaw I need you to help me organize a messy folder.

Context: I am using openclaw.

Safety confirmation (must-do)
Ask me to confirm:
- This will MOVE files (not delete), so paths will change
- Try a test folder first
- Never run on system folders (e.g., C:\Windows, /System)

Step 1 โ€” Environment check
- Check whether @modelcontextprotocol/server-filesystem is installed.
- If missing, ask whether to install it.

Step 2 โ€” Select target folder
Ask me for an absolute path and confirm again that moving files is OK.

Step 3 โ€” Analyze (non-recursive)
Scan only the top-level files (no subfolders).
Group by type and propose folders like:
- Images/, Documents/, Videos/, Audio/, Archives/, Code/, Others/

Step 4 โ€” Final confirmation
Show a summary (counts + planned folders) and ask me to approve.

Step 5 โ€” Execute
1) Create folders
2) Move files with progress updates
3) Skip locked/no-permission files and report them
4) Finish with a clear summary and how to undo

Failure handling
If any error happens (permissions, locked files, path missing), explain the reason and offer the next step.

Throughout this workflow, communicate with me in English.

๐ŸŽฏ What can this do?

Organize a messy folder safely and predictably:

  • Create subfolders by file type
  • Move files into the right categories
  • Show progress as it runs
  • Keep undo steps clear (no deletes)

โš ๏ธ Risk warning

This feature will:

  • โœ… Read file names in the folder
  • โœ… Create new category folders
  • โš ๏ธ Move files (paths will change)

Will NOT:

  • โŒ Delete files
  • โŒ Upload files
  • โŒ Modify file contents

Strongly recommended:

  • Test in a disposable folder first
  • Back up important folders
  • Never run on system folders (Windows/System)

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Safety tips

  • Start with a test folder (10โ€“20 files)
  • Close apps that may lock files
  • Prefer non-recursive mode unless youโ€™re sure

โ“ FAQ

Does it delete files?

No. It moves files into subfolders. Undo is usually just moving them back.
